On his farm, La Piragua, Alexander Vargas Osorio pursues excellence with a deep passion. Having worked in coffee for a few decades now, he leverages his knowledge and experience to produce some of the top-rated coffees coming out of Colombia today. He is a regular staple in the Cup of Excellence competition and in the top roasteries around the world.
About This Coffee:
We’re thrilled to be able to highlight his work with this Pink Bourbon varietal over the coming weeks and months! Pink Bourbon, if you’re not familiar, is a mutation of the popular Bourbon varietal. While named for the uniquely pink skin of the coffee cherry, pink is also a great way to describe the typical flavor profile of this coffee varietal. They are typically tart, sweet, zippy, and refreshing. It is one of our favorites here in the roastery!
As we have been brewing and cupping this coffee in the roastery, we are thrilled by it again and again. It is simultaneously delicate and loud; vibrating with energy, yet smooth. This is one of our favorites of the year. Get it while you can!
