Women's Microlot

About the Roaster:

“Women’s Microlot” is a special offering we have got through our friends at De La Gente, who work directly with farmers in Guatemala, empower them to grow and improve their business, and connect them to roasters like us. This coffee in particular is a delicious collection of microlots all owned and produced by women. This collective, Women Caficultora Network, was established in 2023 and they exported coffee for the first time this year. We’re so excited to highlight this excellent coffee and support this collective as they gain a voice and a place in the coffee marketplace.

About The Coffee:

While this coffee does a lot of good regardless, it is also a wonderful coffee. It was our favorite washed Guatemalan sample we tasted this year and we are thrilled to bring it on! In our cafes, we’ll be brewing it up everywhere, on pour over, drip, and espresso. This is the cup of coffee I want on these chilly mornings!

On filter brews, this is a lovely, rich, sweet cup of coffee. Chocolatey, nutty, and clean, it’s a crowd pleaser! While on espresso, it really shines. Initially, it is classic coffee, big notes of chocolate and cherry, but it evolves into an even more complex offering as it cools. There’s notes of pomegranate and Earl Grey tea in the long finish. We hope you guys enjoy this unique and delicious coffee as much as we do!
