El Sause is a washed coffee from the town of Tablón de Gómez in Nariño, Colombia, and a shining example of the region’s exceptional coffee.
The washed process highlights the purity of this coffee’s flavors, offering a clean and vibrant cup that celebrates its origin. We’ve roasted El Sause with the goal of letting its terroir take center stage, and the result is a delightful balance of sweetness and acidity. Expect a syrupy body with a smooth, satisfying finish. Notes of brûléed grapefruit and candied tropical fruits are complemented by approachable undertones of cocoa and baking spices, making it both exciting and comforting.
On espresso, El Sause shines with a classic 2:1 ratio. Enjoyed on its own, it’s syrupy and rich with flavors of chocolate and figs, rounded out by a bright citrus edge. Add steamed milk, and it transforms into a beautifully balanced, indulgent experience.
