Nguisse Nare is a farmer with a couple different farms and processing stations thorughout Sidamo, and this specific lot comes to us through our friends at Crop to Cup. It’s a natural-processed lot that shows just how articulate and composed fruit-forward coffees can be when structure and sweetness stay in balance.
In the cup, we’re tasting white grape juice, blood orange, and red apple — fruit that’s vivid but not loud. Underneath it all a round, familiar sweetness that reminds us of sweet tea on a warm afternoon. It’s expressive without being chaotic — the kind of coffee that keeps revealing itself as it cools.
We’ve been enjoying it most with a slightly longer ratio to let the citrus and grape clarity shine. Give it a few minutes to cool and let it open up — this is a coffee that rewards patience.
We’re grateful to partner with Crop to Cup on coffees like this — lots that reflect careful cultivation, thoughtful processing, and the work of producers committed to quality at every step. We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we’ve enjoyed roasting it!
